1. First Camera

The first camera was designed by Johann Zahn in 1685. The earlier cameras were incapable of saving the images and were gigantic in size.

2. First Photograph

The first photograph was clicked by Joseph Nicephore Niepce in the year 1814.

3. First Chain Driven Bicycle

Designer J.K. Starley exhibited the first chain driven Rover bicycle in London, in early 1885. These cycles were extremely dangerous to operate, and the rider was always at a safety risk due to his height off the ground.

4. First motorcycle

Gottlieb Wilhelm Daimler and his business partner Wilhelm Maybach developed a forerunner of the modern petrol engine in 1885.The Reitwagen also called riding car was the first internal combustion motorcycle.

5. First Train Engine

Scottish engineer James Watt patented a steam engine in 1781. Which became the foundation of the train locomotive.

6. First Helicopter

VS-300, the world’s first practical helicopter was designed by Igor Sikorsky and built by the Vought-Sikorsky. The VS-300 took its first flight at Standford, Connecticut.

7. First Airplane

On December 17, 1903, Orville and Wilbur Wright made the first successful flight in history of a self-propelled, heavier-than-air aircraft near Kitty Hawk, North Carolina.

8. First Cricket Ball

Here is what the first ever Cricket Ball looked like in 1856.When the game of Cricket first started, a leather ball was used, the core of the leather ball had a hard round object which made it heavy.

9. First Radio

Young Italian inventor Guglielmo Marconi experimental apparatus proved to be the first commercially successful radio transmission system.He was awarded British patent 12039 in 1896.

10. First TV

Philo Farnsworth gave the world’s first public demonstration of an electronic television system, at the Franklin Institute of Philadelphia on 25th August, 1934.

11. First Computer

Babbage is considered ‘ father of computer’, and is credited with inventing the first mechanical computer that led to more complex electronic designs of modern computers.

12. First Telephone

Alexander Graham Bell invented telephone in 1876. Gardiner Hubbard organized a group to established the Bell Telephone Company in July 1877, to manufacture and commercialize Bell’s telephone.

13. First X-rays Machine

X-rays were discovered in 1895 by Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen in a time period of 1845-1923.

14. First Hard Disk

IBM shipped the first hard drive in the RAMAC 305 system, in 1956. The drive was able to hold only 5MB of data at $10,000 a megabyte. The system was as big as two refrigerators and used 50 24-inch platters.
